Pat Laursen learned to shoot a rifle when she was 8 years old so that she could go shooting with her father.
Able to pop pennies that were tossed into the air, at 16 she learned how to shoot a 16-gauge shotgun and began her career as a skeeter.
At Nationals in Syracuse, NY on Aug 6-10th she became the National Champion when she was just 19 years old. Shooting a near-perfect 199 out of 200, she almost won the men's championship as well as the women's.
