Pat Laursen learned to shoot a rifle when she was 8 years old so that she could go shooting with her father.

At Nationals in Syracuse, NY on Aug 6-10th she became the National Champion when she was just 19 years old. Shooting a near-perfect 199 out of 200, she almost won the men's championship as well as the women's.

"Straight shooting calls for a steady hand and a steady eye. And that means you must be alert and on your toes." Pat Laursen .
